WHOA! Time flies! One week of working has passed! (: Everything went smoothly, thankfully! My colleagues especially my buddy, Selvi and my supervisor, Cheryl were very nice to me, treating me to lunches everytime they could. LOL! I shall treat Selvi and her 'baby' for lunch when I get my first paycheck. (: Oh, I met Cousin HuiShin on my very first day of work when I was walking out of the building! I heard someone calling my Chinese name (as I'm using my english name at my workplace). I was totally surprised to see her!! Even though I know that she's working there, but I didn't know which level is she at. LOL!! What a pleasant coincidence to meet her on my first day of work! Going to have lunch with her in town area on next Mon. (:

Alright, shall sleep all I want during the weekend! (:
xoxo everyone!!

I've been blogging quite a lot these days, simply because I've been rotting at home most of the time. Weekend's around the corner, I simply can't wait to meet up with my friends and church mates. (:

Anyway yesterday's dinner with Charlene and Joyceline was AWESOME! Even though we just met around 1 month ago, I missed them truckloads! Camwhored and chatted loads during the meetup! (:

It’s one of those reflective moments again. We always want to know what is the right thing to do in a difficult situation. Like.. before getting the right job, you wonder, is this the right way its supposed to go. Should we really do this? Is it normal for us to do this? Is this the right way? And of course we are scared. Scared that things are moving too fast Because we are scared things would end up the wrong way. We try and ask our friends for advice because we believe they had been through it and should have more experience and should know better. So maybe their experience are right.

But what happens? In the end it makes you only more confused. WHY? because everyone’s experiences are different. Everyone’s expectations and characters are different. So they deal and relate with things differently. And so you have multiple contradicting advices on everything. But after all these ups and downs in my life. I don’t want to make the same mistakes again.

We might be confused about how things should go. We worry about which is the right ways to do things. But actually, there is no such thing as a right way. Finding the right way will lead you to no where. Because everyone is DIFFERENT. we all deal with things differently.

The “RIGHT” way, lies in yourself. Stop questioning and thinking. Start feeling. Do what makes you most comfortable and most at peace. Because after all, it's only when you find peace within yourself that others can find peace and happiness. If you feel it's wrong, don’t do it. If you feel it's right. Go ahead with it. If your heart is troubled, identify the trouble and undo it.  Yes, if you feel confused and messed up, just relax and reflect and do what makes your heart most comfortable and most at ease.

So to my dear friend who’s having headaches over what is right. (: I can’t give you any answers that would make you most comfortable. You have your own answer. And PRAY. (: He will tell you all the right answers. Yes He does.

Something which was totally dumb and embarrassing happened to me yesterday afternoon when I was on my way out to sign the appointment letter with MEWR. I realised that I locked myself inside the house when my keys are kept in the shoe cabinet outside. GEEZ! Luckily I found the key that opened the window panes in the living room. I climbed out of the windows and I totally looked like a thief that's trying to invade the house. -.-" I banged my head against the pane so damn hard that I almost saw stars swimming around my head. This incident taught me a lesson that I should not leave my keys inside the shoe cabinet (out of convenience sake) when I go out for morning jog everyday.

Freedom will only last for another 6 more days. I'll be starting working at MEWR officially on 6th July. This whole week is fully packed with meetups and church activities. (: So many things to be done, yet so little time given. Hope tomorrow will be a better day!

TATA! (:

FRIDAY
I realise that for the past few weeks, I've been spending my fridays with my Mom. This week as usual, met up with Mom at Bukit Batok to have our favourite nasi lemak after not patronising the stall for years! >.< After dinner, I 'abandoned' my Mom at West Mall while I rushed down to Suntec City to meet up with the girls. It was the farewell meetup session for XuanLi who's leaving next Sunday for Australia. The next time I'll be seeing her will be in Nov! ): hopefully time will pass faster! hope work will make the wait much faster! (: take care buddy!

SATURDAY
It was Kailyn's 20th B'dae! ShiJun & I managed to give her a surprise at Dempsey's Barracks. The place was awesome, the ambience and the food were fantastic! Even though the food was slightly pricey, but I think it's totally worth the price. Hope we can patronise the place next time! (:

I'm having cravings for the burgers and the sweet potato fries now!! >.<

Next stop was Ben & Jerry's for ice cream!! (:

I'M A HAPPY GIRL! (:

They drinking beers at 3 in the afternoon. LOL!!

This photo's pretty unglam with me holding the umbrella! But I don't know why I still like it! LOL! (:

WHEE~! I finally had my green tea ice cream after craving for it for so long! (((: tonight was the bi-monthly makan session with my ex dental colleagues (Jane, Jane Ng & He Jing). The last time we met up was during March, before my Korea trip. We had lotsa of catching up to do after not meeting each other for so long. I used to go to the same church with Jane Ng & PeiXin but I've not seen them ever since I started going to VFC. :(

We had Thai food for dinner at Sticky Rice Restaurant @ AMK Hub, then we headed to MOF as I had craving for my green tea ice cream! (: Our orders got mixed up and our ice creams took way too long to arrive. Fortunately the manager gave us complimentary ice cream to apologise for the mistakes they made. (: Shall look forward to our next makan session in August when HeJing is back from Shanghai! It's going to be RAMEN at Liang Court and Jane Ng's going to drive us there! (((((:

P.S.: I realise that I posted 2 entries in a day! >.< Guess when I start working in 2 weeks' time, there'll be lesser entries in here. YEAH!! I can't wait for weekend to arrive! It's going to be activities-filled weekend! (:

XOXO to everyone!

Yesterday afternoon, finally met up with Ain, Karen and Maisie at Raffles City. (: Finally all 4 of us got the chance to meet up, the past few occasions, I only got to meet up with Ain and Karen. Even though we didn't meet up for ages, we seems to have tons of stuff to talk about. Unfortunately our dear friend, Ain had to leave early for her CCA training. Hope we can meet up pretty soon for a meal and longer chat! (: After the coffee session at Gloria Jeans, Maisie accompanied me to The Cathay to wait for my poly mates for dinner. It was great to chat with her who was one of my besties during Sec 1. After we split classes in Sec 2, we seems to lose contact with each other. Luckily years after we graduated from CGS, we still managed to reunite and chat like old buddies. I really appreciate it.  (:

For the past few days, the only word to describe my feelings was APPREHENSIVE. I've been worrying about my future as I was still finding a job for more than 3 months. I was so paranoid about myself, kept asking myself whether the answers I gave during numerous interviews, were correct and phrased grammatically correct. My eldest brother who's always like to tease me, even realised that I wasn't feeling good these days. Since last week, he would bring snacks bought from different places to cheer me up. Friday: Rochor Beancurd; Mon: Waffles; Tues: Old Chang Kee's curry puffs; Wed: Carrot cake. Thanks, Bro for being so nice to your little sis! I appreciate it loads! (:

Finally this morning, I received a fantastic news over the phone. Thank, God for answering my prayers! (:

Today was a fruitful day. I finally attend church service after one month or so. Currently I'm going to Victory Family Centre where my ex-colleague, Ann is attending. It was great to get to meet with fellow church-goers who were so friendly. I had a hard time trying to remember everyone's names. Definitely going to look forward to 5th July's mass church service at Suntec Convention. (: Beside that, I finally got to meet Ann after not seeing her for more than a year after she quitted the dental job! We had a nice chat over lunch along with several church mates.

WHOOPEE~!! I've finally gotten to watch {Trail of the Panda} movie last night with my Mom. ((((: I was so elated when I read that it was officially released in S'pore on Thurs. Last night when my Mom called me out for dinner, I immediately suggested catching this movie and my Mom agreed. The movie was filmed in Siguniang Mountain, Balang Mountain and Wolong Giant Panda Nature Reserve in Sichuan Province before the SiChuan Earthquake happened last year. The movie is about an orphan named Lu, who finds a lost panda cub, Pang Pang (胖胖), carries his new friend on his back and starts a thrilling trip to return it to its mother. The scene which showed Lu trying all kinds of methods to feed Pang Pang was so humourous. I teared during the part when Lu had to send Pang Pang back to his mother, Lu was crying by the river side seeing his friend leaving him. Unfortunately the Sichuan earthquake last year killed panda Mao Mao, who played Pang Pang's mother while the 14 Panda cubs that played Pang Pang are safe and have been relocated to zoos and reserves around China.

Boredom's creeping all over me for the past few days. SIAN JI PUA! I used to say that very often during schooling days when life was getting pretty sucky. LOL!! I'm going to stay at home for most of the days this week since no one want to jio me for meals. SIGH!

Last Saturday, I finally got the chance to visit the KangXi exhibition (康熙盛世) at Asian Civilisation Museum with my Mom. The place was very crowded with museum-goers (especially families) who wanted to see this exhibit. Unfortunately no photography was allowed within the exhibit area so those who are interested to visit, you definitely should have a go for it. The exhibit has been extended to 28 June. (:

Ticketing Counter before making our way to the exhibit at Level 2

This's the protrait of KangXi emperor when he was in his twenties. He became an emperor when he turned 8! At such young age!

This's the protrait is called 康熙帝万寿图 which is 80metres long. However only 10metres of the painting can be displayed. This painting shows the procession of KangXi Emperor's 60th birthday.

For the past few days, I've been trying to keep myself cheerful, but I know somehow or another, it may lead to sadness. It's like sitting on a swing, you get high & happy, but when it goes back down again, it isnt that fun anymore. The thing right now's that, no one's helping me push the swing, so I'm totally unsure about everything! GEEZ!! I'm blabbering now. IGNORE ME!

The journey there was so tiring and long that my stomach was rumbling badly by the time we've reached. Maybe that's why the food tasted exceptionally well that night. (: Hope we can meet up soon again before Maine starts her school in 2 weeks' time!

Today I finally met up with YingJia who was my bestie during sec school years. We used to mail letters to each other to update on our lives. However we stopped mailing things to each other 2 years after we graduated from CGS. From time to time, my Mom will still ask about the girl who always sends me letters with lots of stickers pasted on them. LOL!! I still have the whole chunk of letters properly kept in a tin box. (: Perhaps one day, I'll flip through the stack and reminisce the old days. (: Anyway we finally got to meet each other after not seeing each others for 4 years!!! Even though I still remember I bumped into her during SMU Open House in '07, but we only said hi and bye to each other. LOL!

We had dinner at Bugis's Crystal Jade and we chatted about lots of stuff, things I've rarely talked about (as she still knows my deepest darkest secrets. >.<). I felt so much better talking to her about all these things. Even though we haven't meet each other for years, I know that we still can count on each other on our rants and happenings. (: I'll definitely make a effort to maintain this friendship between us. I believe that as long as in life, we make a conscious effort to like catch up with the other person, be there for a friend, the friendship will go a long way no matter how far apart we are or like in different phases of our lives. It just takes that little effort, for that long & treasured friendship. (:

Last night, I finally sat down and read a book after not touching one for so long. Even though I frequent the library once a week, I always lose the urge of picking up a book and start reading these days. SIGH! Sometimes I can read a novel or even two within a day, but recently just reading one book takes me weeks to finish. While I was reading and listening to music at the same time, I started feeling emo all over again. I totally hate feeling this way because it's not in my usual mood to feel this way. Perhaps our surroundings change most of the time, so maybe the way we feel and think tend to change as well. Being a Taurean, I've to admit that I'm pretty persistent to changes (i.e. I like to compare things to the past, etc). As a result, I'm unable to keep up or accept it when people change too fast around me. As I was reading the book, the character was discontent with her current life (which involves tireless work all day long). Her friend asked her whether she was living her life to the fullest or not. At that moment, I asked myself the very same question. I immediately 'replied' NO! However why am I not living my life to the fullest? I want get rid of my stubbornness, to embrace things happily & easily as it occurs, instead of just hanging on to my rigid thinking. It's good to always hang on to your principles & all that, because thats what make us unique. But there are certain things (I don't know how to put it) that we should accept, so that we'll feel happier. I actually thought about all these long ago. But it's just difficult to put it in action. but learning is never ending, so i'll try my best (:

P.S.: I apologise for this crappy post, I just merely ranting my thoughts out.

The past weekend has been a great one, I would say.

~ Thurs: Outing with Charlene, Joyceline the Oyster, and ShanShan the Mountain
~ Fri: Dinner with my 2 besties, Maine & ShiJun
~ Sat: Dinner with my poly mates

This afternoon was supposedly to be an outing to the museum for an art exhibit with my Mom. In the end, we decided to coop at home, watching the telly all day long. I'm looking forward to next week which will be filled with meet-ups, interviews and rotting at home watching dramas. LOL!! That's basically what I'm doing these days for those who're interested.

A Group Photo to end off the outing (: Hope we can meet up soon!

It was a great meetup with the girls even though we decided to meet up very last minute. That day's outing was sort-of farewell for our dear Ms Fong who's leaving for Australia next month. All the best for your future endeavors especially in your studies! (:

Yesterday was the first day I went out. I'm like cooped at home all day long, doing nothing. I am so BORED! I asked Karen along to accompany to visit the Da Vinci exhibition over at Science Centre. The main highlight of the exhibition was to reveal 25 secrets behind the famous Mona Lisa portrait. We spent more than 2 hours browsing through the wonderful inventions which Leonardo da Vinci had created during his life. I was totally amazed by the various things that he created (i.e The Last Supper wall painting, the Vitruvian Man and flying machines). Basically he was an inventor, artist, scientist, engineer, sculptor, anatomist, biologist, musician, architect, philosopher, all of these things.

30th May was the last day of work at the dental clinic where I used to work on Saturdays. A mixture of feelings when it was time for me to leave the clinic for the very last time. As many of you knows that I always experienced difficult times during work, but I still find that my Doc's a a great person to work for even though I couldn't stand her naggings at times. >.< My Doc insisted on treating both Joyceline and I for lunch even though we kept objecting to her. LOL! Before we went off, she asked whether she could give me a hug. I was STUNNED. So I ended up giving her a bear hug right in front of Paragon's Fish & Co. After work, Oyster & I wandered around Heeren before she rushed off to meet her Dad. I met up with Maine, XJ & HuiTing later in the afternoon for GSS shopping. All I could say is that Orchard area was flooded with shoppers. Shopping at such highly populated areas definitely give me headaches. -.-"

Oyster, all the best for your work at the dental clinic! Keep me updated with all the happenings at work, ok? (:

HuiTing whom I've yet to meet up with for ages! Hope we can meet up soon! (:

3 of us with the Mango Ice which I 'generously' treated them after getting a GIGANTIC hongbao from my Doc. (:

It's finally the day when I graduated officially from NYP. The very last time entering the campus, the last time seeing all the teachers who had taught me for the past 3 years, the last time eating the canteen food, etc. 3 years in NYP definitely had enriched me many things which I appreciate loads! Frankly speaking, when I first knew that I got posted to NYP, I've that dreadful feeling that I didn't wish to be here. However 3 years later, I'm proud to say that NYP's my alma mater. (:
The ceremony was a nerve-racking one for me, my hands were icy cold when I was walking up the stage, fearing that I'll stumble and fall or smth. LOL!! But overall everything turns up smooth. It was great to see all my classmates and friends after so long. Pity that I didn't take pics with some of them as my Mom was hurrying me up that time. Nvm, we can always meet up some time soon! (:

Glad that I managed to come early, to take pictures with the girls! (:

We were busy gobbling up food so that we could hurriedly take pictures. (:

Last but not least, my Mom who took the efforts to attend the graduation ceremony! (: THANK YOU!

After that, Maine, SJ, TPF and I headed to Marina Square's 店小二 for dinner. We were extremely hungry that we managed to finish up all the dishes ordered. (: The food was great, definitely will make another trip there next time.

Today is a day of work with my dear Oyster! (: As I've tendered my resignation letter, I've to train another staff to take over my post. I recommended my friend who doesn't mind slogging hard on every Saturday. It's my 2nd time training my friend at my workplace. Training is always a tiring job, I rather work alone than teaching a newbie. But overall I had loads of fun teaching my dear buddy. (((: We took several pictures in the clinic after work even though we were super hungry!

Joyce insisted that she wanted to sit on the stool and take this pic. LOL!! Haven't you seen a stool before in your life?

This shot is HILARIOUS!! I tried to take one shot of this as well, but my height didn't permit me to do so. >.< I even tried to use a stool to reach but it was so funny that both of us were laughing till we can't hold the camera still.
